September Tea Party
We had a really nice social on the 13th September, it was great to see some new faces and some (very) old ones getting together. Chat always goes best with tea and cake, and there were loads of delicious cakes. Thanks to all who came and especially the cake (or sandwiches and pasty) makers.
Colin and Ann did a brilliant job making the teas and coffees with their stove – they are always so well organised.
Ralph was there in spirit, even though he was on holiday (again!) but he delegated getting his camping loo and tent to the site – thanks to Julie and Barry also.
26th July Barbecue
The barbecue was a great success! Everyone brought something to eat to share and Ralph provided the wine and some beer.
It didn’t rain and people turned up and we all had some nice food and the wine was very good I thought, favourite was the marigold. I didn’t get to sample all of the cakes and puddings, which is not like me, but I was probably talking too much or playing petanque.
Thanks to all who put the effort in to make it a nice, welcoming and quietly very well-organised social – namely Ralph, Barry, Keith, Ray and Colin, and thanks to their wives as well, and extra thanks to Ralph for being the chef and bringing the portaloo.
