Open day 16th April 2016
Well, the weather forecast was not encouraging - rain followed by snow with northeasterly winds and feeling like 0 degrees.
We must be righteous because it didn't happen till 4.30pm and we even had some sunshine.
We did have some new faces come and visit, who took on a plot, so we have some new friends to make. Members and friends came and braved the cold to have a nice chat and a cup of tea, and to support the association, which was lovely.
Thanks are due to Nila for doing a great job on re-organising and cleaning the pavilion and for being the co-ordinator, Andy for playing chef again with the barbecue, John and Andrea for the tombola, Sue, Kev and Ian especially for getting that gazebo up in time (the less said about how they put the roof on the better), Alasdair and Chris, and Ralph of course for the homemade wine.
The tombola raised £73 and the drinks/cake raised £43 for the community projects fund, which is brilliant! BBQ results to come.
Nuneaton News took some pictures - see their website here - great pictures of the children!
